The dti to lead a safe paraffin appliance awareness campaign in the Western Cape

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) together with the National Consumer Commission (NCC), the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS), City of Cape Town and National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) will lead a safe paraffin appliance awareness campaign that will be hosted on Thursday, 8 December 2016 in Masiphumelele Informal Settlement in Fish Hoek, Western Cape.

Tesla expresses interest in SA

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies has encouraged Tesla Company to work with his department and the South African government to explore the possibility of setting up the manufacturing of Tesla products in South Africa. The company has expressed the interest of investing in South Africa during a Business Breakfast session in Washington, DC in the United States where Davies was addressing investors. The minister focussed on priorities and interventions for putting South Africa’s economy on a new growth path and on investment and infrastructure opportunities.

Economic cluster to accelerate “The nine-point plan”

South Africa continues to intensify measures aimed at accelerating economic growth and resolving the triple challenge of unemployment, poverty and inequality as projected by the National Development Plan (NDP.) Western Cape wine companies to expand to Mozambique

Three Western Cape wine companies are on a mission to increase the volumes of the South African wine exports to Mozambique. Thandi Wines, La Rid Mal and Bayede Marketing are part of the 25 businesses that will be showcasing their products and services at the the Maputo International Trade Fair, commonly known as FACIM, which is currently taking place (from 29 August - 4 September 2016.)
