Wine and Olive Oil Production Expo heads for Cape Town in 2017

South Africa is the eighth largest producer of wine in the world with export volumes having doubled in the past ten years. According to a study commissioned by the SA Wine Industry Information & Systems (SAWIS), published in January 2015, of the R36.1 billion gross domestic product (GDP) contributed by the wine industry to the regional economy, about R19.3 billion eventually would remain in the Western Cape to the benefit of its residents. Growth in contribution to GDP has been in excess of 10% per annum since 2003. Exports to Europe and the USA remain strong whilst export sales into Africa are also growing.

Ignus has worked on campaigns for some of South Africa’s top advertising agencies, he has won numerous Fuji Film Photographic Awards aswell as a Loerie Award (SA’s highest accolade in advertising and design) for an ad campaign he did for DDB SA. With and Eye for detail and composition, his solid technical background and award winning people skills Ignus has developed a style as diverse as it is original and visually compelling.

Ignus’s experience, people skills and technical expertise allow him to bring a ‘real feel’ to corporate projects while also enabling him to capture the day-to-day lives of ordinary people around the world with honesty and understanding.

A firm believer in skills development and training, Ignus is a regular lecturer and teaches photographic skills to young adults in Alexandra Township and at his alma-mater Tswane University of Technology. He is a hands on practical teacher and mentor who inspires his students with his vast technical knowledge.

Ignus has been a contributor to the City of Ekurhuleni’s photographic library since 2003. He has captured images for the Tourism department, SA Open Golf Championship, Marketing Departments and Business Development.
