Sundyne appoints new distributor

SUNDYNE has named AESPUMP as the sole authorised channel partner and service provider for South Africa.

The appointment, effective May 1, includes sales, maintenance, repair and technical support for the entire portfolio of Sundyne pumps and compressors throughout the country, and the supply of spare parts.

Launched in 2012 from the former rotating equipment repairs division of AESSEAL, AESPUMP is located in Secunda with a primary business focus on the support of petrochemical refineries and mining operations, in addition to the repair of API 610 pumps.

Sundyne made the decision to grant the appointment to AESPUMP after completing a comprehensive audit of the company’s capabilities, which include pump testing facilities, Level 4BEE certification (BEE rate review board confirmation pending), full compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and OSHAS18001 industrial standards, merSETA approval for apprenticeship training, and flame proofed apparatus for use in explosive gas atmospheres.

“In our search to identify a new sales and service partner for the South African market, we tried to find a company whose business and service model was in alignment with our own,” said Colin Guppy, Sundyne’s general manager of worldwide sales.  “AESPUMP met that criteria.”

Headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, USA, Sundyne has been active in South Africa for 40 years.

The company is a leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and compressors for oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation and water processing industries worldwide.

The product portfolio features innovative high-speed integrally geared multistage and sealless technologies that meet API and ISO standards.

Sundyne has global distribution channels comprising more than 300 sales and service locations, and a manufacturing network that employs over 900 people across five facilities.
