Horizon Capital achieves 0% vacancy across its managed portfolios

Property, the asset class of choice for many on their wealth creation journey, requires active management in order to maximise return. Failure to assign a dynamic, experienced and well-connected management company would likely result in the emergence of vacancies, escalating operating costs and sub-standard rentals, particularly in challenging economic climates, ultimately leading to poor asset performance.

Green development completed in Century City

Commercial property investment, management and development house – Horizon Capital’s latest completed development, Ibis House, is positioned to become the first certified 4 Star Green Star office space for small to medium tenants in South Africa, says the company. The building is situated in The Estuaries, Century City, and is premium-grade office building that is now available to let. There is one resale opportunity available for R3m. The development’s green consultant, Terramanzi, anticipates an electricity saving of 36% or approximately R150, 000 per annum or R10/m2 when compared to a regular building of a similar size, as well as a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 65%. Water consumption for irrigation purposes has been reduced by 90%.
