There are many different shopping cart solutions available today which allow merchants to quickly and easily create an attractive and user-friendly e-commerce website without spending a lot of time and money on development. Although some of these solutions have license and other fees, there are a number of open-source shopping cart solutions such as OSCommerce, VirtueMart, Drupal UberCart and ZenCart for which support is available free of charge. Due to the popularity of these shopping cart solutions we have developed payment modules for them so that merchants can quickly and easily integrate PayGate credit card payment processing services into their e-commerce websites.
In order to assist new merchants in integrating to us we have made payment modules for OSCommerce, VirtueMart, Drupal UberCart, ZenCart and CS-Cart available for free download from our website. These modules are pre-configured to use our PayWeb service. Using the PayWeb service, the website customer will be redirected to a secure payments page hosted by PayGate where they will enter their credit card details. These details are then processed to the merchant’s internet merchant account at one of our supported banks. The bank then authorizes the transaction via the VISA and MasterCard network in real time and then sends PayGate the transaction result. When the transaction is completed PayWeb redirects the customer back to the merchant’s website and posts the transaction status in hidden fields. The PayWeb page is customizable and it can be made to look like the rest of the merchant’s website.
