Welcome to April 2009
This month the Green Point and Oranje-Kloof CIDs recognise the exceptional measure of success achieved by specific members of our team in the past few months; and celebrate our appreciation for arts, culture and lifestyle in and around the CIDs.
Cape Town is showcasing a number of high-end, internationally acclaimed events this month, including the Cape Town Decorex; “Coming Home” by Athol Fugard; and the Tygerberg Orchid Group Autumn Orchid Show, giving us good reason to get out and about and enjoy the cultural activity available to the Cape Town community.
Cape Town’s buzz emanates not only through the international activities currently on the go, but also through the rapid rise of new establishments throughout the Western Cape gearing towards 2010. A growing consciousness and call to action is rife amongst both new and established companies and corporations, with increasing efforts towards social upliftment for the greater good of the community.
Furthermore, Cape Town is showing a growth in awareness of the necessity for recycling and waste minimization. With private sector waste companies on the rise, and increasing assistance from the community we look to a brighter and cleaner future for the Cape.
On a more serious note we would like to commend the CID team’s crime fighting officials for bravery, commitment and honourable work over the last four months, making 2009 a respectable year thus far in the line of crime fighting.
We not only congratulate our brave crime fighters for minimizing the level of crime this year, but commemorate the community to for their vigilance and precaution they have adhered to. We have incorporated additional safety tips for motor vehicle owners, and wish everyone a happy election month.
Best wishes,
Marc Truss

“We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when we are fully engaged in work we enjoy, on the journey toward the goal we've established for ourselves.
It gives meaning to our time off and comfort to our sleep. It makes everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile.”
