It’s been an exciting few months for the Green Point and Oranje-Kloof CIDs and with mid-year fast approaching, we thought we would use this opportunity to remind you why our CIDs are the quintessential areas within Cape Town to live, work and play.
If it’s hotels, restaurants, retailers and galleries that interest you, scroll to our Lifestyle Section to read more about the world-class establishments located in our areas. You will also be pleased to know that work has commenced on compiling the Green Point business directory and you will soon be able to search for all your favourite galleries, restaurants, hotels and more directly on our website.
As you know, the CIDs primary mandate is to fight crime and grime and to attend to the social upliftment of our areas. Make sure you read the article on Cedric Peterson who found his way home through the assistance and dedication of the social worker who daily helps Cedric and many others like him.
In this edition we also honour the brave fire fighters who fought in the unremitting battle against the flames this summer and we highlight the needs of the NSRI who rely on your donations and voluntary assistance.
With winter fast approaching, please don’t forget those in need. Together we can make our areas safe, clean and accessible for all who choose to live, work and play in Green Point and Oranje-Kloof.
Till next time, take care and please send us your comments and suggestions as we welcome your ongoing feedback.
Best wishes,
Marc Truss
OK/GP CID CEO
