EDITOR'S LETTER
The Green Point and Oranje-Kloof City Improvement Districts continue to uphold their mandate of providing enhanced management and top-up services, including security services to fight crime and grime and to position the Green Point and Oranje-Kloof areas as Cape Town’s premier locations to live work and play.
In this months edition of our newsletter we honour and thank the Animal Rescue Organisation for their hard work and dedication over the years in helping abused and neglected animals in informal settlement areas. We urge you to read our news snippet and to donate in any way you can to help alleviate the plight of animals across our city.
We also feature the new upgrade at the entrance of Kloof Street ; new and exciting retailers in Green Point that are well worth the visit and the legendary Labia’s 60th Birthday celebrations.
As City Improvement Districts we like to help where we can and for us community upliftment is key. The Green Point CID therefore recently sponsored 500 juice bottles to the Child Protection and Safety Awareness day. The day is aimed at raising awareness around issues such as drugs, sex and alcohol abuse that teenagers are regularly faced with. See our news section for more.
CID backs www.getclosure.co.za, an independent complaints, compliments and consumer affairs portal, providing consumers with a hassle-free way to compliment great service or pursue a complaint against any South African supplier.
In closing, we thank everyone who has shared his or her thoughts and experiences with us in the past. We value your feedback and encourage you to please continue sharing your comments, success stories and concerns.
Best wishes,
Marc Truss
