| EDITORS LETTER If I reflect on the past year and take time to look at the difference that we have made in our respective CIDs, I can only praise our CID members, the CID Board Directors who have unconditionally supported me and the team throughout the year, the landlords and their tenants, the members of the public and not least the City Officials, including all the Law Enforcement Agencies, who have put us in a position to improve service delivery and become more effective in dealing with 'Crime & Grime'. The CID deals with an array of different tasks, some directly within our mandate, others that fall close by and many that no-one knows what to do with. We are on duty 24/7; the CIDs never sleep. As trivial as some of the calls may have been, we were able to make a difference. With this in mind, we will continue to explore better methods, build partnerships and ensure that we learn from the mistakes and be in a position to service you even better in 2008. We are looking forward to the New Year as we have been busy training our staff, changing our branding, our vehicles and equipment as part of our quest to provide a better level of service to the community. We will be phasing in 'added-value' products that we are very excited about, and forging stronger relationships with Law Enforcement Agencies and 'other' departments that will offer their services to the public sector more effectively. We have also updated our website with a revised format, better navigation and of course, hopefully better content. Please visit www.oranjekloof.co.za or www.greenpoint.co.za. On behalf of the Green Point & Oranje-Kloof City Improvement Districts, I wish you, our loyal supporters, a fantastic Season, a well-deserved break, a Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year.
