Click here to view the short video - it really is as easy as one, two, three! In this issue, we recognise the exceptional measure of success achieved by specific members of our team in the past few months, knowing that our collective impact is directly related to their individual commitment and hard work. We would also like to congratulate the Cape Town Central Police Station under Director Lynette Barnes for being voted the Most Effective SA Police Station in the Western Cape, during a recent national survey. We are proud to be their partners in the quest to combat crime in Cape Town. Read more about their achievement in our Snippets section. This past month, the dedicated CID team continued to assist the SAPS on numerous occasions in finding and arresting criminals in our area. Click here to read one of these success stories. The month of April also saw the blessing ceremony and the return of remains of the exhumed dead of Prestwich, to the ossuary at the new Prestwich Memorial on St Andrews Square in Green Point. Read more about how this memorial offers locals and visitors alike the opportunity to honour and remember those that came before us. In past newsletters, we focused on how to safeguard your home against perpetrators. Increasingly, however, it is businesses that are being targeted by criminals in search of large amounts of money. As the GP and OK CIDs consist of a variety of large and small businesses, our team is on high alert to combat and prevent this crime trend from impacting our area. We urge business owners to inform their employees of our availability and commitment to assist at any hour and to please refer to our business safety tips in this month’s Security Update. On the leisure side of things, Kloof Street is host to the Joy Market Day on Saturday 17 May from 09:00-15:00 on the open square at 55 Kloof Street.
