Freakonomics is a book that looks into economic, social and political changes in the U.S.A, making connections between trends and events in these fields. Levitt and Dubner apply data analysis to correlate seemingly unrelated events, people and occupations. One chapter shows how school teachers and sumo wrestlers share some commonality in terms of their incentive to cheat in order to improve their job security. Interestingly, one of the main themes of the book is that experts are not to be trusted as they also have incentive to give misinformation. Supposedly, these two don't consider themselves experts, or are warning readers not to trust them either!
