A new AgriWorks Farmers Expo will be hosted in Stellenbosch during November this year and is welcomed by farmers, suppliers, locals and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry.

The expo is scheduled to  take place on 11, 12 and 13 November 2010 at the Van der Stel Sports Grounds in Stellenbosch.  “Our research indicated that there is a strong demand for the new Farmers Expo, since the annual agricultural show at Bien Donne (14km away) is no longer being staged this year.

This created an opportunity to design a brand new show at a new and exciting venue” says organiser, Chris de Klerk of CADEK Media. “Exhibitors and visitors can expect an array of interesting and entertaining features at our inaugural expo at Van der Stel Sport Grounds in Stellenbosch.”

The expo will focus on farming (especially wine and fruit growers), agricultural products as well as research and is open to all sectors of the agricultural industry to exhibit. It is expected that more than 120 companies will be exhibiting their products and services at the expo which makes it an important event on the Cape’s agricultural calendar.

Visitor research has shown that farmers and winemakers are keen to visit the new expo due to it being so central. Many suppliers in the industry have expressed their interest and includes the likes of Rovic & Leers, Knittex, Packit, McBeans, Fences & Gates, Babcock, NFS Industrial, Bell Equipment, Neutrog Fertilisers, Wirsham, GEA Westfalia, DFM Software, Patch, Container Trust, Wynland Kompressors, Redfern, Maverick Motorsport, Agriplas, Scales Incorporated, Turfmaster, Dyna Fog, Infanta 4 x 4, Velo Tanks and many others.

The programme will include various activities and workshops, with talks, demonstrations and technical tastings conducted by industry leaders and winemakers. Saturday will include a special programme for kids and visitors will be able to win big prizes.

Bookings for stands are now open and exhibitors should book their stands as soon as possible to ensure the best positions. Contact CADEK Media on 0861 222 335 or visit the website at www.agriworks.co.za. Booking essential for the farm workers’ programmes as well as the technical tastings.
