City to Sign Lease and Sale Agreements to Private Sector of Owned Industrial Land in Atlantis
Executive Mayor Helen Zille and Councillor Simon Grindrod, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic, Social Development & Tourism, will sign lease and sale agreements with 13 successful bidders for 16 industrial City-owned erven in Atlantis to the private sector. The City will receive R26 million from the sale of these properties
This process is intended to drive economic growth and job creation to the immediate community and surrounds. Atlantis is a community in Cape Town that suffers from high rates of unemployment.
The signing agreement will take place as follows:
