In his state of the nation addresses of 2006 and 2007 the President of South Africa referred to the FET colleges as central to skills development. South Africa’s further Education and Training band is perfectly placed to provide favourable opportunities for learning, knowledge creation and development of intermediate to high-level skills.
Damelin Cape Town has embraced the provision of Further Education and Training aligning majority of its full time and part time programmes to the National Qualifications Framework in order to more effectively meet the needs of South Africa’s stakeholders from government to school leavers, corporate institutions and individuals workers.

Damelin has a number of exciting niche qualifications, skills programmes and short programmes in a variety of disciplines designed to enrich the lives of learners, improve their employment prospects and in turn improve the productivity of the country’s workforce by providing applicable skills that add value to any workplace.
Skills programmes are courses that are based on NQF unit standards and that could (if carefully chosen) add up to a full qualification once the required number of credits has been completed. Experiential learning and the completion of a Portfolio of Evidence during tuition forms a crucial element of our training.
