Besides offering recording facilities, Don Douglas Music specialises in music production. We can assist in song composition and structure as well as helping artists find their unique sound. We pride ourselves in ensuring that the artist is exposed to a highly creative atmosphere, which allows for effective and productive communication in the studio.
Studio Rates:
We prefer to book by the day, and our rates are based on 10 hour days. Time in excess of 10 hours will be billed at the hourly rate indicated.
50% of the total estimated session cost will be required in advance of the session, and the balance of the invoice will be due at the end of the session.
Recording Session: R1500 per day; R250 per hour
Mixing/Mastering: R1000 per day; R200 per hour
Song Arrangement/Composition: Quoted on request
In the case of demo albums we suggest that each song be allotted 1 day of recording and 1 day of mixing/mastering for best results, however this is only a guideline. A discounted rate will be available for recording sessions exceeding 3 days.
There is a minimum booking fee of 4 hours, except for transfers which will be billed at actual time. There are no additional charges for the use of any of our equipment.
