The build up to Christmas last year saw a significant increase in online sales in South Africa. With the number of ADSL accounts now well above 200 000 and growing every day, more and more South Africans are getting permanent access to the internet. These figures are showing in the interest in online sites like Décor and Furniture. 2007 has seen a significant upturn in web traffic as people search for new beds, couches, tables and increasingly antiques, art and other décor items.
Online enquiries made through the site are already up more than 20% up on last month and are significantly higher than last year.
