Mimaki Engineering Co Ltd. (head office: Nagano, Japan; President: Akira Ikeda) announces the introduction of MBIS (Mimaki Bulk Ink System) for its series of JV5 and JV33 large and super-wide format inkjet printers. The new 2 liter ink supply system is available for Sb52 as well as SS21, HS and Eco-HS1 solvent inks.
Mimaki’s inks are renowned for their high print quality exhibiting excellent color consistency and image results. Up to now, these inks have been available in up to 440 cc cartridges. Due to increased demand for both lower ink prices and longer continuous print runs Mimaki has developed a bulk ink supply system accommodating 2 liter ink packs for its solvent printer models. The 2 liter ink containers enable a saving in ink costs of up to 40 % in comparison to traditional 440 cc ink cartridges. The inks have the same high quality features such as ink emission, stability, color gamut and reliability as Mimaki’s ink cartridge system.

BS Inks
Last year, Mimaki introduced the newly developed BS solvent inks, which are nearly half the price of the standardSS21 solvent inks. Mimaki developed the more costeffective BS ink with the intention of helping the end-user to minimise the costs of printing and maximize profits; whilestill upholding the same quality that Mimaki is renowned for.The BS ink, which comes in 440ml cartridges, (C, M, Y, K) hasa wide colour gamut with spot colours (R, G, B) available asan option for the Art Industry. The BS ink was developed foruse in the JV33-160BS printer and is now also available onthe renowned number one best-selling print and cut CJV30 Series.
BS2 Inks
The BS2 ink is a Mimaki original high quality ink – not only is it low-priced; it also dries quickly with minimal bleed and comes in 600ml cartridges. With bigger cartridges, the BS2 ink, compatible with the JV33-160BS and CJV30-BS, becomes even more cost effective. The BS2 ink has other numerous properties including a high scratch resistance and a wide colour gamut. Like Mimaki’s other ink cartridges, the ink contained in the aluminium pack (600ml) maintains it’s superior quality for a long period of time. Additionally, the manufacturer’s 1-year warranty for BS2 ink covers the print heads.
The 600ml replaceable ink pack is also available for BS2 ink. The ECO case is reusable, and you can replace the ink pack without mess. The replacement is easy and simple, and this means less waste and more environmentally friendly. – BIG)
