Have you ever been in a slump?
You know, one of those days where from the spilled coffee in the morning, to serial red robots and an upset boss/client/colleague nothing really works out that well?
And as your mood gets worse the things that happen tend to get worse?
We all know that one! And every time it happens to me I also know that unless I get out of the foul mood it can only get worse. But getting out of it is just not that easy because I mean really, look at all that crap that's happening! And off goes our Little Voice in a rant that has no equal :)
Sound familiar?
Ok. So let's stop there for a moment. Can you for a brief moment imagine what could happen to your day if you were able to get out of that mood quickly? Don't wonder now how, just imagine for a moment that somehow there's a switch you could turn and you'd feel really good about yourself again.
Would be great, wouldn't it?
Yep, it would. But how to get there. Well turns out that is actually fairly easy once you have the right tool. See, a lousy mood isn't really you - no it's not -, it's that part of you that plays tricks on you, that Little Voice that forever has something to nag about and on some days it just wins that battle in your brain and rules the moods.
And since it's a Little Voice there's a tool to learn how to master that one. Bad moods happen, they will always, that will never end. It's not about ending the bad mood. It's about dealing with it and lifting it. You still gotta wipe the coffee spill but if you're able to do it with a smile it'll be a much more pleasant experience.
So what's the tool? It's one of the 21 techniques Blair Singer talks about in his Little Voice Mastery book and in which all SalesPartners are trained in. Ask some of my clients how well this little tool works. Just last weekend I applied it in a conversation with Chretien Ploum and Tony Seifart knows it so well already that he runs it on me every time he catches me on the drift down into moody waters.
But what is it? It's a set of simple questions you have to answer. There is no real explanation for it. You got to experience it and see how it works. It is very simple and anyone can learn to apply it - on yourself and on the people in your vicinity.
It's awesome to be able to help those people around you getting out of a slump in under a minute and at the same time getting the same help back. That creates a circle of empowered beings that achieve their goals that little bit faster because at least one of their Little Voices is in check.
So how can you learn this tool? That's easy! Here are all your options, choose which one is most suitable for you:
1) Get a copy of Blair Singers "Little Voice Mastery" book (SalesPartners stock it) and read up on it
2) Get a audio cd of Blair Singer with the same title where he goes through 20 tools, the mood lifter being one of them
3) Hang around a SalesPartner :)
4) Seriously, if you catch yourself in a slump call a SalesPartner! They are able to take you out of the slump in under a minute. Try it, phone me next time you are in a lousy mood and can't get out of it. Here's my number +27 82 99 26 007 (in international format because it really doesn't matter where in the world you are!) - that by the way is your best value option, because you get out of a bad mood into a better one for the cost of a phone call :)
5) Get serious with the entire Little Voice Mastery and join a 6 week mastery program with your SalesPartner. During that program you will not only learn to master that one technique but all the others too and get a jump start in your life. (Mention "the mood lifter post" and get a free ticket to the next SalesPartners live program thrown into the mix!)
Now you have no more excuse to stay in a bad mood :) and it does feel sooooo much better!
I'm waiting for your call! :)
