1. What conditions will your Sports Event Sponsor Branding be used in and for what duration?
If it's a one day event (and it does not have to weather Cape Town!) then use of less durable fabrics such as polyflag and polytwill will suffice and is a cheap short term option.  For longer events in possibly extreme weather conditions then a more durable fabric such as PVC or shadecloth or shadenet is more suitable, and will ensure that your branding stays up and looks good for the duration of the event.  It can also be used for your next or other outdoor and sports events . PVC is not wind resistant, so large areas will get damaged in the wind - shadenet is designed for long term extreme weather conditions.  PVC is also heavy and not easy to transport and rig.

2.  Size does count!
And length is often better than height :)  At sports events there is usually ample advertising space and advertisers and sports event planners need to find ways to get good coverage economically.  Sticking up a few advertising banners will look tacky and ineffective.  Also, if your banner is too small it won't be easy to read.  If its too tall, it will need a structutre to support it and it could become a danger in extreme weather conditions. Shadenet and shadecloth fence-wrap can have a double use - it can be used to cordon off areas under construction or restricted areas, or to direct traffic along designated pathways, and simultaneously carry branding over wide areas for maximum exposure at minimum cost.
