Demand for ICT Services rocket

As South Africa matures into a more service orientated economy the need for supporting services like ICT are increasing at a tremendous pace. According to experts, there has been a definite growth in demand since 2005 and it is expected to last beyond 2010. 

Presently the demand in South Africa is mostly from large corporations doing technology refreshes and business reengineering, however global trends show that the SME sector will fuel sustained demand for ICT services. Research has shown that once the basic hardware, networking and internet infrastructure are in place, that companies typically invest in software and services to derive value from ICT. In fact ICT is becoming like a utility, switch it on or off; and less of a competitive advantage.
