Cape Business news recently attended a ‘function venue showcase’ at the Kenilworth Racing Course.

The open day was organised to display different ideas for themes as well as magnificent table settings for specific functions and conferences the public may request.

“You may hire our venue for any gathering you wish to have, from birthdays to weddings, work conferences, as well as bar mitzvah ceremonies and many more,” says Hurter van Breda of Kennilworth Race Course, managing the events.

The functions venues are available on different floors, giving you the option to choose the size you wish to have, which level you prefer, as well as specific views and needs, such as balconies and disability facilities.

The function rooms can comfortably accommodate 50 to 350 people with or without dancing and have spectacular views of the race track conservation area and the surrounding Peninsula.

The cost of the venues is as follows:

·   Peninsula Room -       R 4800.00 (100 to 350 people)

·   Kenilworth Room -     R 4500.00 (80 to 180 people)

·   Somerset Room -       R 4500.00 (80 to 200 people)

·   Lord Charles Room -  R 4000.00 (50 to 70 people)

·   Protea Room -           R 2000.00 (20 to 40 people)

Kenilworth Racecourse offers both an a la carte menu and a buffet menu. Dishes can change with every function held. For functions menus are made up to suit client’s needs and requirements.
