Herbalife Nutrition certified as one of SA’s Top Employers

Herbalife Nutrition has been named a Certified Top Employer in South Africa by the Top Employers Institute at its latest certification dinner.

The nutrition-focused company was awarded its status as a top employer for excellence in Human Resources across a number of categories; including talent acquisition, staff training company culture, workforce planning, performance management, leadership development and nurturing staff up the career ladder.

Human Resources Manager Ilanda Els commented: “Our employees are part of who we are as a company. There are many initiatives implemented to ensure that our employees see the pivotal part of our organisations success where we are being recognised in the market. This is very important in driving essential factors such as engagement. Our employees need to be proud of the organisation they are part of.

“This extends to our philosophy, ‘We use it, wear it, and talk it.’ We could not have achieved this honour without every employee’s contribution and commitment to building it better for our current and future success.”

The Top Employers Institute is an independent, global body with presence in over 115 countries. It has awarded the same title to various industry giants; from Unilever to Nike, Samsung and Heineken, among many others.

Now, Herbalife Nutrition gets to join these esteemed organisations.

“Being recognised as a leader in nutrition and as an employer of choice is a great achievement,” said Herbalife Nutrition Southern Africa Country Director, Thilo Naidoo, on the award. “We are a company that cares about its people. To be recognised by a body such as the Top Employers Institute is a huge honour, and we are deeply grateful.”

Being named a top employer has numerous benefits, not least of all attracting and retaining the top talent in an industry, to keep one’s brand the premiere thought and market leader in an area. Several studies have also equated an impressive employee attraction and retention program with solid business strategies and trajectories overall.

“Herbalife Nutrition utilises a unique direct selling model, which the Top Employers Institute has recognised as effective and staff-centric. We have put a lot of effort into making the Herbalife Nutrition family a happy one, so this award is significant for us,” concluded Naidoo.
