Voltex: Electra Mining Africa Exhibition 2018

The Electra Mining Africa Exhibition, now in its 46th year, took place from 10 – 14 September at Nasrec Expo Centre and proved once again to be an important and valuable exhibition for the Voltex Group.

The Voltex Group used the platform to showcase its wide range of industrial and related products, including key technologies from their specialist divisions which offer power solutions and services to the mining, electrical and industrial sectors.

Electra Mining is one of the best arenas for The Voltex Group to present its latest technologies and to connect with stakeholders and potential partners in the broader Southern African and African markets.

The exhibition was well attended and there was keen interest around the spotlight themes, a new dimension added to the 2018 show. In particular the areas of future skills development, workplace safety and product innovation gained the most consideration. Power control solutions, power efficiency and renewable power innovations also attracted visitors to the Voltex stand. The Electech LSis LV and MV switghgear solutions, including the motor protection and control systems presented on the stand were well received and lauded for their safety standards and ISO 9001 certification.

Quality guarantees and service excellence were highlighted by several visitors to the Voltex stand who indicated that these were key aspects in their choice of product selection and solution providers due to the impact this had on safety standards and cost efficiencies. Products such as WACO Industries’ bulkhead fittings from England and LED products being those observed for their manufacturing excellence and warranties.

Cabstrut’s representative noted that there had been good overall interest in their cable and reticulation systems, particularly the CL76 powerway solution used specifically in mining.
