With an ongoing cold front, heavy rains have caused major flooding in parts of Cape Town.
Goodwood was one of the areas affected, leaving residents up to their knees in water on their properties in the early hours of Friday morning.
Several residents hoped to rely on the City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management centre for assistance, but according to spokesperson Charlotte Powell, this service specifically handles flooding in public areas.
Capetonians have been urged to prepare themselves for more wet weather over the weekend.
